MOM is Moving!

Medical Outreach Ministries is moving to a new location to serve you better! The new clinic, located at 5741 Carmichael Parkway, will provide space for expanded services and allow MOM to serve more patients.

MOM will be closed during the week of Monday, March 2, 2020 to Friday, March 6, 2020 to move. The clinic will reopen in the new location on Monday, March 9, 2020.

The information below should answer your questions about coming to the new clinic for your appointments. We look forward to continuing to serve your healthcare needs in Jesus’ name. All appointments beginning March 9 will be at the new clinic.

Q: Where is the new clinic?

A: MOM’s new clinic is located at 5741 Carmichael Parkway. Click here for directions.

  • Turn onto Carmichael Road from the Eastern Blvd between Burger King and the Raceway gas station.

  • Carmichael Parkway is the second street on the left after you turn onto Carmichael Road.

  • You will pass ASK Telemarketing (formerly the Brunswick Lanes bowling alley) on the left before you turn onto Carmichael Parkway.

Q: Is the new location by the Social Security Office?

A: The new clinic is not far from the Social Security Office, but it is on the opposite side of the Eastern Blvd. From the Social Security Office, continue down Carmichael Road toward the Eastern Blvd. and cross over the Blvd. Then, you will turn left onto Carmichael Parkway at the second street.

Q: How can I get to the new clinic on the interstate?

A: When traveling North on I-85, take Exit 6 East Blvd and follow the signs to turn onto East Carmichael Road. Then, turn at the second left onto Carmichael Parkway.

When traveling South on I-85, take Exit 6 East Blvd and turn left onto East Blvd. Cross over the interstate and use the left lane to turn left onto Carmichael Road. Then, turn at the second left onto Carmichael Parkway.

Q: Can I get to the new clinic on the bus?

A: Yes, the clinic can be reached on the #16 (East/West Connector) or the #17 (Boulevard) bus.

  • The #16 bus stops at the corner of Carmichael Road and Carmichael Parkway.

  • The #17 bus stops at the corner of Eastern Blvd and Woodmere Blvd.

  • Both buses stop near the clinic every 90 minutes.

  • Both buses can be boarded at the Fairview Transfer Center or at several stops along their routes.

  • Your exact bus route can be found by contacting the Montgomery Area Transit Authority at 334-625-4012 or montgomerytransit.com.

Q: Will the phone number change?

A: No, all of MOM’s phone and email contact information will remain the same. Contact us at 334-281-8008 or www.momclinic.org.

Q: Will the clinic’s hours change?

A: No, the clinic will still be open 7:30 am-4:30 pm, Monday-Thursday and 8-11:30 am on Friday. The first appointment of the day will begin in the mornings at 8:10 am, instead of 8:30 am.

Q: Can I still get my medications refilled?

A: Yes, you will still need to call 7-10 days before your medications run out to place a refill request.

Q: Will my doctor change?

A: No, your provider will stay the same.

Q: Will I still need to come to screening early in the morning?

A: We will announce any changes to screening times after the move. The times will stay the same for the first few weeks. Please watch our website and Facebook page for the announcement of any changes to screening times.

Q: Why is MOM moving?

A: MOM’s current building has served us well, but we have reached capacity. The new clinic will allow us to recruit more doctors and nurses and serve more patients.

Q: Where can I park?

A: There is plenty of patient parking in front of the new clinic. You should have an easier time finding a place to park than you do at the current location.

Q: Does this mean that MOM is not part of Baptist Health anymore?

A: MOM is not part of Baptist Health, but Baptist is an important partner of MOM. Nothing will change in the way MOM and Baptist work together. Patients can still go to Baptist locations for lab work.

Q: Will MOM start charging fees to patients at the new clinic?

A: No, MOM’s services will continue to be free for patients.
